Having an idea of the full picture is a powerful tool in Facebook advertising.

Understanding the stages of your customers' sales cycles lets you create campaigns that are more tailored to your specific situation.

It also helps you make decisions about what to do with your current campaigns.

The strategy for a business with a very short sales cycle will be dramatically different from a business with a very long sales cycle.

Get this mixed up and you'll be burning your advertising dollars faster than you can imagine.

3 Things That Your Sales Cycle Length Will Tell You

1: What type of engagement content you need to create and amplify.  The longer the sales cycle, the more in depth content you'll need.  If your product is an impulse buy, then odds are you won't need that much engagement content.

2: How much engagement content you will need to amplify. If you have a very complex and long sales cycle, typically a single piece of engagement content just won't be enough.

3: When you can expect to be cash flow positive.  This is a really big deal in both your budgeting as well as your mindset when it comes to running social advertising.

If your sales cycle is short, you can expect to become cash flow positive quickly.  On the other hand, if you have a very long sales cycle, it's either going to require a much higher budget or a longer term view for when you will be converting prospects into sales.

In the video below, we cover the benefits of understanding your sales cycle, and how it can change the way you advertise on Facebook and other social platforms.
