Scaling is something that everybody's talking about.

Whether you're just getting started in your advertising or even if you've been advertising for a while, a hot topic is how to scale your advertising.

It makes sense!

Think about it..

You invest $1 in your social ads, and you get back $1 or $2, or $3!

Who wouldn't want to be able to scale your advertising and spend more!

 

Wait…I can make more if I spend more?!?!

 

 

There are four key things that you really need to be thinking about when you're ready to scale your advertising efforts.

1.YOUR OFFER

 

This probably seems like a no brainer, but it's not.

Your offer should be dialed in and converting before you start ratcheting up advertising spend.

Be sure that:

  • it converts to cold traffic
  • it converts to warm traffic
  • it converts at a profitable cost per acquisition

 

2. YOUR FUNNEL

We see this overlooked all the time.  

There's an entire industry that's been built around revenue optimization.  If your customer journey is optimized, your funnel is optimized, you're ready to scale your advertising.  

 

3. AUDIENCES

 

Facebook targeting is something that people get very, very excited about.

Make sure that before you're ready to scale, you've done your research.

Be ready to test multiple audiences. This can mean having interest-based audiences, look-a-like audiences or even broad targeting. 

It's important that if you're going to start to scale your advertising  spend you have enough audience data and enough audience research to be able to turn up the heat and go for it.

4. CREATIVES

The biggest advertisers in the social advertising game are changing their creative daily!

Seriously, daily.

I'm not suggesting that you need to do that, but be ready to  change out your creative frequently.

That could be several times a week or several times a month.

Have the mindset that this will be a part of your regular content creation process.  

If you don't have the ability to make that much creative, then you should re-think your plan to scale your advertising spend. 

One great ad with one great creative running indefinitely does not work. 

Always thinking about having new and fresh creative.

If you've got your offer right, your funnel dialed in and optimized, audiences researched but are lacking creative, you're still not ready to scale your advertising. 

Have those four things dialed in and you're going to set yourself up for great success.
